Clients from regional Victoria, South Australia, and other states have long expressed concerns about lost workplace time and associated costs incurred to access this training. In 2009 RMIT conducted a successful trial using internal funds to pilot blended mode delivery of electrical-instrumentation competencies to distance learners in an attempt to redress this situation.
RMIT University (RMIT) in consultation with industry has identified a need for training in industrial instrumentation and control. Demand is driven by industries need for electricians to undertake work on process control instrumentation and systems that their electrical training does not equip them to perform. RMIT is proud to announce financial support extended to this project by Australian Flexible Learning Framework.
